Yep that’s fine but by doing this. I will now not shop at any local business and only go to main high street I will use online. I won’t eat out in Warrington and I certainly will not use the rubbish transport. All you have done is increase my childcare costs for the extra time it’s going to take to do my work routes. I will certainly vote against you in the next election. You are increasing my cost of living without an single care for any impact on anyone else. I will not walk my children in the rain to nursery which would take longer to get there! to make extra costs for more child care fees as they are going to need to be there earlier! to set off for work earlier! to work longer and get home later. I already don’t spend enough time with my kids and now your costing me money to spend less time with them.

what a load of patronising drivel - how in gods name can we be compared with London? they have a massive infrastructure, tube, buses etc. By closing roads here, you take away our already limited access to already overloaded main roads - We are being forced to join the traffic coming off the broken motorways, swing bridges, road works. How dare you make out that I can easily walk or get on a bike! - my "expensive box" is the ONLY way I can get to my place of work. I walk when ever I can, I don't have to be forced into it. I have never, in all my 50+ years been so angry at the council and government. And that is saying something!

"Cases from places as varied as Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry, Glasgow, Dublin ... and London suggest increased customer footfall in LTN zones." — as you can see, we cite (and link to citations) from plenty of places that aren't London.

This is an attempt to lower the volume of traffic within Warrington by making it easier/safer to make shorter journeys around the town without a car, not increase it.

We hope, as the evidence suggests from schemes all over the country, traffic will decrease on the surrounding roads.

We're very sorry you feel angry, and hope the scheme's results make you think again in 6-12 months. If it doesn't work, we can go back to the drawing board.

They are all city's! We don't have that infrastructure, we are already divided by the waterways, we already have limited options to get from A to B - this scheme narrows them even further. I am beyond angry, I am total dumbfounded.

They are really trying to compare Warrington to the above places hahaha!! are they going to walk there kids in the rain to nursery. I want every single council person to ensure they are all following these rules by push biking into work every single day

Quite a number of places have had to reverse their LTN decisions as they did not work and not just in London

The impact on the village as a whole, will be an increase of traffic through the one way system, causing issues for anyone trying to exit residential roads.

The traffic in areas around the schools will increase.

The infrastructure needed is not in place – there are no safe bike lanes, there are no reliable/affordable bus services, our roads are narrow and street parking is always an issue.

Warrington will continue to be used by anyone avoiding the Motorways, Viaduct, Runcorn Bridge

The Mersey, Ship canal and the Bridgewater mean that all that traffic is funnelled through residential areas. Why should we residents be made to pay the cost for these issues that are beyond our control.

Our safety when walking anywhere is not guaranteed, underfunded lighting and policing, narrow pavements, lack of crossing, make our walk ways and parks dangerous.

These all need fixing first

With the cost of living and fuel rising, these changes will impact us all.

The people were not consulted in a way that was conclusively in favour of these changes, and in fact its been very obvious that the majority do not agree.

Half 5 Monday, peaceful protest at the Parr Hall - its not to late to get this reversed, I know there are men working on the roads and getting ready to implement the changes in Latchford, but if we show that we are pulling together - again, and that we haven't become resigned to the plan, they will have to listen.

Can't tell you how disappointed I am with the Labour Party right now, don't think you'll be getting my vote again.

This is an ill conceived plan, which does not benefit the majority of the residents in the highlighted areas.

If you want people to walk, cycle and use public transport rather than drive, the infrastructure needs to be in place FIRST.

Please could you find another advocate of LTNs to quote beside Boris Johnson? Also if you could name the businesses he refers to so we can look them up on Companies House and see how they are doing?

A tremendous volume of data about business has been collected by government, academics and private companies on this issue, which has been used by the Council and its partners in its decision to proceed with the LTN. You can see this in the above documents, which clearly give their sources in a bibliography at the end.

I am sorry we could not provide you with the precise names of various successful businesses in Waltham Forest.

Surely that information should have been checked and verified before the plan was taken any further - why should it be for joe public to gather this now? We know what the area actually needs, we don't need "data" we live it every day. Sort the parking, put in some one ways if needed (edgerton in stockton heath for a start) increase dropped curbs, clean up the streets, lower speed limits, add crossings for kids, safe parks, lighting on the paths in vicky park - make that and sankey valley actually safe to walk at night. DO NOT CLOSE OUR ROADS

I beg to differ on the point that A roads which will take the displaced traffic were designed for heavier traffic volume since this cannot be said of knutsford rd nor kingsway where those of us who have to manoeuvre around latchford will have to now spend inordinate amounts of time sitting in traffic particularly to get from latchford east to latchford west instead of traveling down a wide speed bumped lesser populated road as we do now with grange ave. I walk as often as possible to visit my daughter but not if I have to carry something as I can no longer do that. Parents of school children are usually going straight on to work from drop off on a very tight time schedule which does not allow for the luxury of walking to school or of using buses and would be extremely loathe to cycle from Grange Ave to Wash lane with my grandchildren as crossing Knutsford Rd on bikes with small children would be more hazardous than the air pollution! The money surely would have been better spent on improving the A roads so the traffic flows better.
